Today I got my hair cut, went to the gym, and have eaten nothing with gluten in it. Woohoo! This is the first time I’ve been to the gym in MONTHS! I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and jogged for 10 minutes with a 5 minute cool down. Yeah! Tonight I’m making gluten and dairy free shrimp risotto with a strawberry, walnut, and spinach salad for dinner. GO HEALTH!
I also bought these supplements to help with my endometriosis, PCOS, and my BODY!
Omega 3 fish oil
Magnesium - Balances blood sugar levels
Milk thistle - aids in liver function, immune system function, and controlling cravings
Acidophilus - probiotic that helps digestion
Between that, all the tea I’ve been drinking (green tea mmm), and my new obsession with water and a squeeze of lemon, I can’t see how I’m not on the right track!
I stumbled upon this site earlier and have not been able to tear myself away… this approach to endometriosis management is genius, and makes complete sense! Although there seems to be a lot of conflicting information on what may help or harm your symptoms, greatly reducing gluten and dairy seems like a good place to start! I am trying to gradually shave everything off my diet that is overly processed! In order to heal my endometriosis I have to heal my symptoms of acne, acid reflux, heartburn, digestive issues, pelvic pain, and YES, abdominal weight and bloating!! - caused, almost exclusively, by a response to INFLAMMATION! It all makes sense. An inflamed body has too many other things to worry about than sloughing endometriosis cells off of places they shouldn’t be!
Things I am GOING to eat!
- ORGANIC everything (…that I can afford)! My body is begging me to relax with the toxins I take in!
- WILD fish whenever I can get it
- Nuts - mm omega 3s
- Lemon has great anti inflammatory properties
- Herbs such as ginger and parsley are crucial!
- and of course, fruits and veggies
- Tea! A great replacement for coffee
Things I’m going to avoid:
- Any meat that is not free range and organic, to the best of my ability
- Gluten
- All dairy
- Soy (increases estrogen!)
- Alcohol :( although I will allow myself red wine
- Coffee
- Refined sugar
- Eggs - until I can afford free range, cage free!

For lunch I had this delicious salad! It was so good!!!!
Mixed greens
Grilled turkey cutlet with a garlic marinade
Half an avocado
1 tbsp crushed walnuts
1/4 yellow onion
Apple slices
1 tbsp balsamic vinigrette (gluten free!)
omg yum
First day allergen free was a success! I feel very satisfied.
Breakfast:
McIntosh apple and 1/4 cup of walnuts
Lunch:
Corn pasta, broccoli, and sauteed chicken with a haphazard garlic, olive oil, white wine, and organic, gluten free chicken broth sauce.
Dinner:
Grilled salmon marinated in olive oil, garlic and herbs
Roasted asparagus
Far East gluten-free wild rice
Today marks the first day of my 2 week experiment. No gluten, dairy, eggs, or soy for two weeks, to see what is causing all this fuss in my body. I was diagnosed with endometriosis last week during a laparoscopic surgery and I’m taking the next steps to ensure my health.
So the doctor thinks I have endometriosis… does anyone have experience with this?
